James Franco has enrolled in Yale’s English Ph.D program, reports The Yale Herald.

Miles Levy, the manager for the 31-year-old actor, tells The Yale Daily News that while James has not accepted Yale’s offer, “He loves Yale and it is more than likely his first choice.”

James already has an undergraduate English degree from UCLA and an MFA from Columbia University. He also studied film at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. He’s just racking up these degrees, isn’t he?

What a smart biz move for both parties. And to top it off, retail prices for all the pieces will be capped at $24. Amazing!!!

The 17-year-old Disney starlet, who stars on Wizards of Waverly Place, tells WWD, "[It's] the whole Texan cowgirl meets the glam Boho chic of Hollywood. Since the announcement, we added a lot of accessories. I love scarves, and long necklaces and cute bangles. It's constantly changing, which is cool. It will change with me."

FOX may have another reality series hit on their hands called My Parents Are Gonna Love You. Punk’d for the new generation, perhaps?

Here’s how the show will go down via THR:

1) Contestants will consist of everyday singles, who will bring home celebrity fiance(e)s to meet their parents.

2) The celebrities will act as obnoxious as they can but the longer the contestant can pull off the prank, the more money they win for their parents.

Dave Franco Spreads Out In Death & Taxes Magazine

Dave Franco has scored himself a four-page feature in the latest issue of Death + Taxes Magazine. Here are some quotes from the 24-year-old actor:

On his penchant for writing: “Once a week I would meet up with the coolest teacher and we’d go over my work. All my friends were like, Soooo… once a week at lunch you meet up with Mr. Schulenberg to talk about poetry. (smiles) They all thought I was having sex with my teacher. But I really just loved to write and it was a nice outlet.”

On admiring his older brother, actor James Franco: “He’s been great. He’s definitely let me find my own path. He doesn’t tell me what to do or what not to do.”

Dave can next be seen opposite Zac Efron in Charlie St. Cloud, out October 15.

Ricky Martin: Gay and GLAAD

Earlier today, Ricky Martin revealed that he is gay. GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) president Jarrett Barrios has reacted to the news.

“When someone like Ricky Martin comes out, hundreds of millions of people now have a cultural connection with an artist, a celebrity and, perhaps most importantly, a father who happens to be gay,” Barrios said. “His decision to model this kind of openness and honesty can lead to greater acceptance for countless gay people in U.S., in Latin America and worldwide.”

Earlier in the day, Ricky publicly revealed his sexuality, saying, “I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am.”

Ellen DeGeneres Comic Book Revealed

Ellen DeGeneres will be taking comic book form in Bluewater Productions' “Female Force” biography series.

The life of the 52-year-old talk show host will drawn into the pages of the book — from her childhood days in Louisiana, the stand-up comedy circuit, to landing a daytime talk show. Will it include her wife Portia de Rossi??

Ellen’s comic book, which will be sold for $3.99, will be available this Wednesday with a portion of proceeds going to the Humane Society of the United States.

When Alex’s younger brother, Aaron, shows up at Seattle Grace-Mercy West with a hernia, it’s up to Alex to get Bailey’s approval for his pro bono surgery. Matters are further complicated when Aaron discloses that his family has not heard from Alex since he arrived in Seattle, and parts of Alex’s past long kept secret are revealed to his friends and fellow doctors.

Wesley Snipes: GQ Magazine Man

Wesley Snipes talks candidly about his tax evasion in the April 2010 issue of GQ (with Shia LaBeouf on the cover).

The 47-year-old actor — who was convicted of willfully failing to file tax returns — is facing up to three years of jail time. How will he deal with it?

"With the grace of God," he tells GQ correspondent Chris Heath. "Quickly, soundly, with health and knowledge that these things, too, shall pass.… And I'll still have my talent. And hopefully I'll still have my mind. I can deal with it."

Wesley also opens up about some of the most significant and memorable moments of his life, from growing up in the Bronx to his friendship with Michael Jackson: "We were sent an angel. Not that he was an angel, but we were sent an angel. To heal, to inspire, to evoke thoughts of beauty and love in this world of chaos. And we didn't take good care of it."

Back when he was 18, Liam Hemsworth got buck naked for the Australian TV series, Satisfaction.

When the 19-year-old Aussie actor was asked about the scene where he’s naked, seducing a cougar and holding a BANANA, he laughs.

Liam explains to Movieline, “Yeah, that show's about upper-class prostitutes, and I was playing a 16-year-old who was pretending to be 19. Basically, he's a really rich kid whose dad has gone away for the weekend, and I hire this prostitute. The banana was… (laughs) I mean, I come up and place it on her back and she thinks it's something else. I was just talking about eating the banana, and she was thinking about another thing. I was 18 at least when I shot it, and it was interesting, because I was butt-naked in front of a lot of people.”

That Miley Cyrus sure scored herself a hottie! The on-and-off-screen couple star in The Last Song, out this Wednesday (March 31)!

Ricky Martin has admitted that he is a gay man in his latest blog entry.

The 38-year-old entertainer writes, “I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am.”

Ricky continues, “These years in silence and reflection made me stronger and reminded me that acceptance has to come from within and that this kind of truth gives me the power to conquer emotions I didn’t even know existed.”

FYI: Ricky is the proud father of twin sons, Matteo and Valentino.

Ricky Martin: I’m A ‘Fortunate Homosexual Man’

A few months ago I decided to write my memoirs, a project I knew was going to bring me closer to an amazing turning point in my life. From the moment I wrote the first phrase I was sure the book was the tool that was going to help me free myself from things I was carrying within me for a long time. Things that were too heavy for me to keep inside. Writing this account of my life, I got very close to my truth. And thisis something worth celebrating.

For many years, there has been only one place where I am in touch with my emotions fearlessly and that’s the stage. Being on stage fills my soul in many ways, almost completely. It’s my vice. The music, the lights and the roar of the audience are elements that make me feel capable of anything. This rush of adrenaline is incredibly addictive. I don’t ever want to stop feeling these emotions. But it is serenity that brings me to where I’m at right now. An amazing emotional place of comprehension, reflection and enlightenment. At this moment I’m feeling the same freedom I usually feel only on stage, without a doubt, I need to share.

Many people told me: “Ricky it’s not important”, “it’s not worth it”, “all the years you’ve worked and everything you’ve built will collapse”, “many people in the world are not ready to accept your truth, your reality, your nature”. Because all this advice came from people who I love dearly, I decided to move on with my life not sharing with the world my entire truth. Allowing myself to be seduced by fear and insecurity became a self-fulfilling prophecy of sabotage. Today I take full responsibility for my decisions and my actions.

If someone asked me today, “Ricky, what are you afraid of?” I would answer “the blood that runs through the streets of countries at war…child slavery, terrorism…the cynicism of some people in positions of power, the misinterpretation of faith.” But fear of my truth? Not at all! On the contrary, It fills me with strength and courage. This is just what I need especially now that I am the father of two beautiful boys that are so full of light and who with their outlook teach me new things every day. To keep living as I did up until today would be to indirectly diminish the glow that my kids where born with. Enough is enough. This has to change. This was not supposed to happen 5 or 10 years ago, it is supposed to happen now. Today is my day, this is my time, and this is my moment.

These years in silence and reflection made me stronger and reminded me that acceptance has to come from within and that this kind of truth gives me the power to conquer emotions I didn’t even know existed.

What will happen from now on? It doesn’t matter. I can only focus on what’s happening to me in this moment. The word “happiness” takes on a new meaning for me as of today. It has been a very intense process. Every word that I write in this letter is born out of love, acceptance, detachment and real contentment. Writing this is a solid step towards my inner peace and vital part of my evolution.

I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am.

So You Think You Can Dance will return for its seventh season @ 8PM ET/PT on Thursday (May 27) on FOX.

Here are some of the new rules for the upcoming season:

– During the performance rounds, only ONE finalist will go home weekly.

– The competitors will be partnered each week with an all-star dancer — different SYTYCD alumni!

Explains Nigel, “They are changing partners every week. We are going to put together a pool of ex-So You Think You Can Dance all-stars, some of our favorite dancers form across all six seasons and they will act as a pool of dancers.”

Jennifer Aniston goes asymmetrical at the premiere of her new movie, The Bounty Hunter, at Cinemaxx on Monday (March 29) in Berlin, Germany.

On Saturday, the 41-year-old actress went on a river cruise with her co-star Gerard Butler.

“They were very close,” a source tells People. “They really warmed up the room, hugging and touching each other.”

According to the mag, they dined on “green salad and grilled chicken (for her) and lobster (for him). For dessert, they sipped champagne and enjoyed fresh berries.”

FYI: Jen wore a Valentino Haute Couture dress, Salvatore Ferragamo clutch and pewter shoes as well as Fred Leighton earrings.

Adam Lambert To Perform at GLAAD Awards

Adam Lambert will perform at the 2010 GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday (April 17).

Also, Constance McMillen, the Mississippi teenager whose high school cancelled the prom rather than allow Constance and her girlfriend to attend, will present the Stephen F. Kolzak Award to comedienne Wanda Sykes. Also in attendance will be director/designer Tom Ford, cast members from Glee, Drew Barrymore and Eric Dane.

“GLAAD has advocated for out music artists, including myself, and I am proud to be part of the 21st Annual GLAAD Media Awards this year,” said Adam. “GLAAD’s work to share stories that grow acceptance and understanding about the gay and transgender community is so important in our culture today.”
