Posted: 13 Aug 2010 11:29 PM PDT  Avril Lavigne is hard at work on her latest album - and she promises the fans that it’s on its way soon! “I’ve been in LA working on the album. Trying some new stuff. Exploring,” the 25-year-old rocker wrote on Avril Lavigne Bandaids, a fan site. “The thing with me, is that i write my own music and therefore, it takes me longer to put out records cause i have to live my life to get inspiration,” Avril added. “I have so much material at this point, for 2 records. I’m getting close. Thanks for your continued support. I cant wait to get back to you shortly on the release of the single.”

The flick is about an orchestrated governmental obscenity that tried to use the memory of U.S. Army Ranger Pat Tillman, who was killed by friendly fire in Afghanistan in 2004, for political ends. “Another great day at work!” the 29-year-old actor Grey’s Anatomy star tweeted yesterday. “And so happy the NFL season is upon us. Trying to get back in shape, just in case a team needs another WR (wide receiver).” Ha, football dreams!

The Medium actress, 42, and her 41-year-old husband, star of Hung, are divorcing. “The split is completely amicable and their prime focus is their daughter,” his rep told People. “They ask that their privacy be respected at this time.” The couple married in May of 2006 and have one child together, 7-year-old Harlow Olivia Calliope. The two split back in January of 2009 but reconciled later in the year.

| Jersey Shore Fistpumps Its Way To Record Ratings Posted: 13 Aug 2010 03:20 PM PDT  Jersey Shore drew a record 5.5 million viewers on Thursday night (August 12), making it the #1 telecast of 2010 with P12-34. For the third straight week, the first-pumping reality series was Thursday’s #1 telecast of the day among P12-34, across all of television. Its 2.7 adults 18-49 rating beat out Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance (2.2 rating) and CBS’ Big Brother (2.6 rating). This ratings reign just won’t let up. Impressive situation for Snooki and the gang!!! (BTW: Big Brother is spectacular this season.)

Here’s what the 64-year-old actor had to share: On not getting respect from Hollywood: “I think a lot of it has to do with the way I came into the party… I came in through the service entrance. You know, like at the Oscars, I didn't have a bow tie on. It had broken. Later I heard people thought I was disrespectful. I woulda tied a shoelace on - something - had I known.” On what his legacy will be: “The character of Rocky, I'm fused to that. So his ‘never-give-up-ness’ is…he, again, came through the service entrance. He dined with the staff, dined with kings, but at the end of the night he paid the check and left through the service entrance. I'll always have this blue-collar connection.
